Teresa est une artiste indépendante et une professeure  de danse contemporaine. Elle s’est formée à l’Académie de danse contemporaine de Setúbal sous la direction d’António Rodrigues et de Graça Bessa.

Elle a été danseuse principale avec CeDeCe, le Ballet Gulbenkian et la compagnie Atterballetto. Son parcours artistique comprend des collaborations avec Mats Ek, Jiri Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Angelin Preljocaj, Didy Veldman, Mauro Bigonzetti, Stijn Celis, Rui Horta, Itzik Galili, Jan Kodet, Paulo Ribeiro, Vasco Wellenkamp, Olga Roriz, Rodrigo Pederneiras, Vera Mantero et Michele Merola.

En 2007, elle co-fonde TOK’ART (2007-2015) aux côtés d’André Mesquita, où elle occupe les fonctions de co-directrice artistique, de danseuse et de productrice.

En 2009, elle remporte le premier prix de performance pour son solo Lake au 13e festival international Solo-Tanz-Theater de Stuttgart.

Connue pour sa perspective analytique en tant qu’assistante chorégraphique et directrice de répétition, elle a remonté plusieurs œuvres, dont See Blue Through (Didy Veldman) pour le Phoenix Dance Theatre et le Leipzig Opera Ballet, A Terceira Sugestão (André Mesquita) pour le CPBC, Heaven (André Mesquita) à Viseu, La Traviata (mise en scène de Pier Luigi Pizzi) pour le Teatro São Carlos, Uníssono (Victor Hugo Pontes) pour l’Escola Lugar Presente, et Wolfgang Bitte (Ruijk) pour l’Escola Lugar Presente. Wolfgang Bitte (Rui Horta) pour l’Escola Luís António Verney.

En tant que pigiste, Teresa a travaillé avec Miguel Moreira, Rui Horta, Blue, Paulo Ribeiro, Victor Hugo Pontes, André Mesquita, Sérgio Diogo Matias, Sofia Dias, Valter Fernandes, Sylvia Rijmer, Clara Andermatt et Margarida Belo Costa.

Elle a été invitée à enseigner dans le cadre de plusieurs programmes intensifs de danse, notamment le 3e cours intensif international de ballet de Pékin, le XXIIe atelier de danse d’Aveiro, les 1er et 2e cours intensifs de BalletVita et le cours de Pâques du Conservatoire national de danse.

Depuis 2018, Teresa est membre de la faculté de l’Académie BalletVita, et de 2017 à 2023, elle a enseigné à l’école For Dance Theater, dirigée par Olga Roriz.

Depuis 2021, elle fait partie du personnel artistique du Conservatoire de danse Dance Spot, en tant que coordinatrice du département de danse contemporaine et enseignante.

En 2024, elle fait partie du comité artistique du DOOR Dance Project, sous la direction artistique et la chorégraphie de Margarida Belo Costa, un programme de stage préprofessionnel.

Teresa is an independent artist and contemporary dance teacher. She trained at the Contemporary Dance Academy of Setúbal under the guidance of António Rodrigues and Graça Bessa.

She has been a principal dancer with CeDeCe, Ballet Gulbenkian, and the Atterballetto Company. Her artistic journey includes collaborations with Mats Ek, Jiri Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Angelin Preljocaj, Didy Veldman, Mauro Bigonzetti, Stijn Celis, Rui Horta, Itzik Galili, Jan Kodet, Paulo Ribeiro, Vasco Wellenkamp, Olga Roriz, Rodrigo Pederneiras, Vera Mantero, and Michele Merola.

In 2007, she co-founded TOK’ART (2007–2015) alongside André Mesquita, where she served as artistic co-director, dancer, and producer.

In 2009, she earned first prize in performance for her solo Lake at the 13th International Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival in Stuttgart.

Known for her analytical perspective as a choreographic assistant and rehearsal director, she has restaged several works, including See Blue Through (Didy Veldman) for Phoenix Dance Theatre and Leipzig Opera Ballet, A Terceira Sugestão (André Mesquita) for CPBC, Heaven (André Mesquita) in Viseu, La Traviata (directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi) for Teatro São Carlos, Uníssono (Victor Hugo Pontes) for Escola Lugar Presente, and
Wolfgang Bitte (Rui Horta) for Escola Luís António Verney.

As a freelancer, Teresa has worked with Miguel Moreira, Rui Horta, Blue, Paulo Ribeiro, Victor Hugo Pontes, André Mesquita, Sérgio Diogo Matias, Sofia Dias, Valter Fernandes, Sylvia Rijmer, Clara Andermatt, and Margarida Belo Costa.

She has been invited to teach at several intensive dance programs, including the 3rd Beijing International Ballet Intensive Course, the XXII Dance Workshop of Aveiro, the 1st and 2nd Intensive Courses of BalletVita, and the Easter course at the National Dance Conservatory.

Since 2018, Teresa has been a faculty member at BalletVita Academy, and from 2017 to 2023, she taught at the For Dance Theater School, directed by Olga Roriz.

Since 2021, she has been part of the artistic staff at the Dance Spot Conservatory of Dance, serving as the coordinator of the Contemporary Dance Department and as a teacher.

In 2024 she has been part of the artistic committee of DOOR Dance Project, under the artistic direction and choreography by Margarida Belo Costa, a trainee program for pre professional internship.
